What I overall learned during the course of reading this exercise, was the importance of storytelling and how far we have come since the days of old when storytelling was being done orally or through print. These days, storytelling has become so advanced, we’ve now become subjected to the age of what people now call digital storytelling. Through this way of storytelling it is practically taken to the next level through the addition of different layers of elements that involve sound, video, as well as photo images that are used as a creative way to get students more into the story that is being told at the precise moment instead having them listen to an instructor tell the story while leaving students to have to use their imagination as a way to visualize the whole entire thing. The whole concept of digital storytelling is designed to be the imagination for you to see for yourself without you having to rely on your brain to paint to the picture for you. Through this way of telling stories the student is practically given a front row seat from a visual perspective which gets the student more interested thus bringing them one step closer to a general understanding of the entire story at hand.
